COMPENSATION

Status: Full Time (40 Hours)

Hourly, Non-Exempt with Full Benefits

Hourly Range: $15.00 – $25.00

General Job Description

Primary duties: Transportation of clients to and from scheduled medical appointments and pre-arranged trips (DMV, Social Security office, employment agency, group shopping, etc.) Drivers will be responsible for keeping the vehicle maintained and clean, submit monthly vehicle condition reports, and maintain accurate mileage/transportation logs on the provided spreadsheet. This position is an advocate position, so job includes assisting in shelter as needed

Secondary duties: Pick-up and delivery of donated items as needed. Daily mail pickup.

Qualifications for Position

· Completion of a high school or general equivalency diploma (GED).required.

· Clean driving record with no points as documented by MVR report for the last five years.

· Current CPR/First Aid certification.

· Must pass mandatory drug screen and background check.

· Strong communication skills.

· Clean and professional appearance.

Job Responsibilities and Performance Standards

· Transport clients (shelter and outreach) in a safe, courteous, and professional manner.

· Communicate with Shelter Manager and/or Resident Advocate to receive relevant information and instructions.

· Pick-up and delivery of donations as required.

· Complete a vehicle inspection prior to daily usage for safe and comfortable client transport.

· Maintain a daily log transportation log that is entered into a record keeping spreadsheet to include gas fillips, maintenance checks, and repairs.

· Always maintain a clean vehicle, hold passengers to safety and sanitary requirements.

· Complete monthly vehicle condition reports, including oil changes.

· Make repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation.

· Understand and follow all vehicle safety regulations at all times and ensure that all federal, local and state driving laws are being abided by.

· Participate in scheduled staff meetings and communicate pertinent resident information to the Resident Services Advocate and Shelter Manager.

· Attending all training courses required by the organization.

· Adhere to agency policies and work rules including confidentiality, child abuse reporting and code of ethics. Maintain professional boundaries with shelter residents.

· Participate in RCPCH outreach events/activities.

· Other duties and projects as assigned by the Shelter Manager and/or the Executive Director.
