Nancy Bryan, our Executive Director, is someone who doesn’t like to be in the spotlight, but as we honor some of the most influential people for our organization during our annual campaign, we certainly could not leave her out. Nancy celebrated her eight year work anniversary with us in May, having joined our team in May of 2013. During these eight years, Nancy has provided tremendous leadership to this organization. We have seen many positive changes under her guidance, including the annual budget nearly doubling as we do more prevention work and provide more services to victims. Nancy worked with the board to create a leadership team, and she has helped to grow our staff from 16 people to 27, allowing us to better serve our clients. Under Nancy’s leadership, we have added our sexual assault advocacy program, and we have been able to serve more victims (894 in 2013 when she came on board, compared to 1364 in 2020). We have also been able to move into our wonderful new shelter that allows us to house more sexual assault and domestic violence victims, and this would not have been possible without Nancy’s efforts on the capital campaign that raised the funds for that project.
We are so grateful to you Nancy for everything you have done over the years and everything you continue to do. We know our organization would not be where it is today without you. It is clear to everyone who has the pleasure of working with Nancy that this job was made for her. She has such compassion and such a heart for serving our clients.
You can honor the legacy of Nancy’s work by giving a gift in her name and supporting our July 2021 Annual Campaign. You can donate in Nancy’s honor through Venmo (@ruthscottage_thepatticake house), online (https://stopthehurtga.org/donations/), or mail a check to PO Box 2727, Tifton, GA 31793.
